Round pinback button marked "Arizona University" with attached ribbon and football charm.
The University of Arizona football team, the Wildcats, first took the field in 1899. An independent until 1931 when they joined the Border Conference, the team moved to the Western Athletic Conference in 1962. In 1978 they became part of the Pac-12, leaving for the Big 12 in 2024.
