Description
A European Traveler style armchair designed by Stephen Burks for Roche Bobois’ 40th anniversary collection. The armchair is made of burnt orange colored lacquered aluminum tubes, woven leather cords colored brown and red with grey and brown leather cushions. The brown cushion (2022.67b) is removable while the other cushions are attached to the chairs frame. The armchair is wide with large, flat armrests and a half-dome shaped hood that extends above the backrest. The hood and armrests are made of the woven leather cords. The feet of the armchair are short, thin aluminum tubes that allow the chair to sit close to the ground.
