Object Details

Summary

This is an early flying rocket model motor test stand made of wood and steel. A wood cylinder is attached by wires to a postage scale. The motor is placed in the center of the wood cylinder and then is ignited. Model Missiles, Inc. probably built this test stand in 1957 or 1958. G. Harry Stine, one of the American pioneers in the field of flying rocket and missile models, donated it to the Museum.
