Known as “The King” to millions of NASCAR fans, Richard Petty has had over 200 career wins during his 32 year run on the NASCAR Winston Cup circuit. Petty has won the Most Popular Driver award nine times and is known for wearing his trademark hat and sunglasses everywhere he goes. This hat is from Charlie One Horse, which Petty has been associated with since the company’s inception in 1980. Although retired from racing since the 1992 season, Petty wore this hat and sunglasses during the 2002 racing season while making appearances and signing autographs for his army of fans. This hat includes Petty’s signature in white across the front and is decorated with a raccoon bone.
