    Notes

    Stringed musical instrument. Neck of carved wood with 4 tuning pegs, no frets. Top decorated with carving of bird (peacock?) standing over a cobra. Brass tacks used for eyes as well as for adornment on instrument. Anchor-shaped sound box, covered with skin. Detailed floral carving in contrasting black and natural wood on back. Has 4 strings (broken). Wooden bow.
