    Summary

    This stamp celebrates the Soyuz launch vehicle, a two-stage liquid fueled vehicle and the Apollo Soyuz Test Project. The Soyuz was developed from the Vostok launch vehicle originally derived from the SS-6 ICBM. The Soyuz's first launch took place in November 1963. It has been one of the most active launch vehicle in the USSR and Russia's fleet, launching humans and applications satellites into space. The Apollo-Soyuz Test Project was the first joint international space mission between the United States and the USSR in July 1975.
    The Soviet military attaché donated this item to the museum.
