    Summary

    This 4-kopek stamp commemorates the flight of Soviet cosmonaut Pavel Popovich. On 12 August 1962, Popovich became the eighth man in space. His spacecraft, Vostok 4, came within 402 kilometers of the orbiting Vostok 3 spacecraft that carried Adrian Nikolayev.
    The Soviet military attaché donated this item to the museum.
