Sphygmomanometer, Skylab

A standard blood pressure monitor like this was flown on Skylab for the crews' use in biomedical experiments and monitoring their own health. The in-flight medical support system included a variety of common products that enabled crew members to conduct a physical exam, do basic lab tests, provide first aid, and administer medications if necessary during their long stays in space. This particular item may have been used in training or acquired as a spare. NASA sent it to the Museum with other unflown equipment when the Skylab program ended.
