Description

The maroon banner with gold-colored border and lettering represents the National Association of Special Delivery Messengers’ local branch 24 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In the center, the maroon letters “NASDM” stand out on a golden rectangle set in front of a wheel with Mercury’s wings.
The National Association of Special Delivery Messengers was organized in 1932, ten years before these contract workers became part of the Civil Service. On July 1, 1971, this association merged with four other unions to form the American Postal Workers Union.
