Summary

This package contains dehydrated sugared cornflakes, which were freeze-dried for ease of packaging and storage during flight. It was flown on the Apollo 11 mission in July 1969. Since it was not used, it returned to Earth and was transferred to the National Air and Space Museum.

Space food was easily reconstituted by the astronaut with a water probe which dispensed one half ounce of hot or cold water as required each time the trigger button was pressed.

Transferred from NASA to the Museum in 1981.
