Summary
This package contains dehydrated banana pudding, which was flown on the Apollo 11 mission in July, 1969. As it was not consumed during the flight it was returned to earth and transferred to the national Air and Space Museum.
The pudding was freeze-dried for ease of packaging and storage during flight, and was easily reconstituted by the astronaut with a water probe which dispensed one half ounce of hot or cold water as required, each time the trigger button was pressed.
Transferred from NASA - Johnson Space Center in 1972.
