Description

Lobby card for Universal International Pictures’ 1955 motion picture, Six Bridges to Cross. Joseph Pevney directed this crime drama about a lifelong friendship between a delinquent and a rookie cop in Boston. Tony Curtis, George Nader, and Julie Adams star in this film. This card features a masked robber and Jerry Florea embracing Ellen Gallagher.

Lobby cards were once a popular form of advertisement for motion pictures. The publicity departments of Hollywood studios created cards featuring striking images of their latest films and delivered sets to theatres across the country. Lobby cards were created to entice future audiences and increase ticket sales.
