    Summary

This personal shaver was designed for use by the astronauts during the Apollo missions, though it was never used during flight. Personal hygiene was an important part of the astronaut's health and well being, and the shaver was designed to be wound, therefore not requiring batteries or an electrical outlet. The collection bag attached to the shaver was designed to prevent small particles from dispersing throughout the spacecraft.
Transferred from NASA to the National Air and Space Museum in 1979.
