    Notes

Johns Hopkins University Egyptologist Betsy Bryan notes inlaid glyphs include Ptolemaic secret glyphs.
Per Johns Hopkins University Egyptologist Betsy Bryan, 363202 alabaster shabti in wooden coffin 363201. This piece has many strange features and has raised doubts in a number of people's minds. These doubts appear to be justified, though there are some convincing features about the piece. Shabti largely a forgery. It may well be an authentic shabti whose original decoration was unachieved or lost, but the present form is incorrect and cannot be considered true. What is interesting is how laborious the decoration was, despite its inaccuracy. The vertical bars in blue, white, red and gold are odd on a shabti, but the text is particularly wrong.
