    One of several full-size replicas of the Explorer 1 spacecraft instrumentation section in the collection. Represents the visible nature of the instrumentation housed in the Explorer 1 payload shroud, depicted by other objects in the collection. This example is a labeled fiberglass and plastic display object.
    Transferred to NASM by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory via NASA in February 1975.
