    Half-length portrait of Gilliam, seated, wearing a cardigan. One of his paintings hangs in the background.
    One of 16 photographs of African-American artists exhibited at the First World Festival of Negro Arts in Dakar, Senegal, 1966. This photograph was also published in the catalog Ten Negro Artists from the United States.
