From NMNH Exhibit Hall "Eternal Life in Ancient Egypt" label for this artifact, 2011, only 1 packet of the 3 is on display: Natron packet, Date unknown. Natron, a naturally occurring salt mined west of the Nile, absorbs water and dissolves body fats, an ideal combination for mummification.
