    Description

A long-playing record of the album Rufusized recorded by Rufus. This object is comprised of a disc (a), an album jacket (b) and a paper sleeve (c).
The vinyl disc (a) has a round white label with black text. At the top of the label are white letters “abc” in a black circle and the word “Records” after them. Below is black text that reads “”RUFUSIZED” / RUFUS.”
The front cover of the cardboard jacket (b) has a large black-and-white photograph of Chaka Khan surrounded by the five members of the band Rufus. She wears a dark crop-top and light-colored pants and has her eyes closed as she laughs. Her left arm is held out to the side and her right hand is being held by one of the men gathered around her. The man behind her rests his hands on her hips. In the white margin at the top is large black text that reads “RUFUSIZED – RUFUS FEATURING CHAKA KHAN.” The front cover opens to reveal a two-page spread with a single black-and-white image of Khan reclining on a bed. She leans against a pillow as she stretches her arms to the sides and kicks her left leg at the viewer. She is barefoot. Under the image in the bottom right-hand corner is text that reads “Chaka Khan.” On the left-hand page against the left margin is production information in a column of small black text. The back of the jacket cover has nine small black-and-white photographs of Khan and the members of Rufus striking a variety of different poses from the same photo shoot as the front cover image. In the margin at the top of the page is a list of the tracks on the album. In the upper right corner is a sticker that reads “Promotional Record for / Broadcast & Review / NOT FOR SALE.”
The paper sleeve (c) has a white background and an illustrated silhouette of a man, woman and small child within an oval in the center of the sleeve. This image is on both the front and back of the sleeve along with the logo for ABC/Dunhill Records at the bottom right corner.
