    Summary

This is a retail kit of an unassembled R-2 single stage flying rocket model, made by an unknown Yugoslav manufacturer. The body is pasteboard, the fins are balsa, and the nosecone and parachute are plastic. The motor is not included. At the end of powered flight, the parachute deploys and the model returns to Earth, enabling its reuse.
    G. Harry Stine, a pioneer in the field of flying rocket models, donated this artifact to the museum in 1973.
