Object Details

Summary

This is a unbuilt Alpha flying rocket model kit. Included are two body tubes, an oval nosecone, a white and orange parachute with white strings and attached rubber band, a balsa sheet for fins, miscellaneous parts, and instruction sheet included. Once the motors stopped burning the parachute deployed and the model gently returned to Earth for reuse.
Estes Industries made the model and donated it to the museum in 1996.
