Summary
This model rocket firing panel was built by Centuri Engineering. One wire leading from it ran to a power supply, and the other to the igniter in the model rocket motor. Once the operator pressed the firing button on the panel, the electrical power would then heat the igniters which in turn would cause the propellant in the motor to ignite and lift the model rocket.
G. Harry Stine, an American pioneer in the field of flying rocket models, donated it to the Museum in 1973.
