Description (Brief)
This violin was made by Marius Richelme in Marseilles, France in 1875. The violin is decorated with inscriptions and applied design work. The back of the violin reads “A. Marius Richelme/Fecti 1875,” and there is a crest above a laurel wreath in the center of the violin’s back. On the lower back is a symbol of a merged M and R, below the symbol is “Hoc Opus Meum,” Latin for “This is my work.”
