Notes
A small globular gourd rattle from Peru carved and stained to resemble a rabbit. The stem of the gourd represents the rabbit's ears. On the front of the gourd is the rabbit's face and legs (which also wrap around the sides) with the tail appearing on the back. The body of the rabbit is not articulated on the gourd but the entire gourd is covered with a number of polygonal splotches, usually with a pigmented center that all have small, regular gouges. There is significant cracking on the back and bottom of the gourd.
