Description

Apron made from a tea towel printed for the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. At the center top, the Queen on the throne with the scepter and orb. In a cartouche at the bottom, 1977. Center field is surrounded by deep border of strapwork ornament with Tudor roses and vines. In the center panel:
Queen Elizabeth II, born 21 April 1926
Elder daughter of George IV
Engagement to Prince Philip, Announced 10th July 1947, married 20th November 1947 Ascended the Throne, 6th February 1952
Proclaimed Queen in London 8th February
Crowned in Westminster Abbey, 2nd June 1953
Silver Jubilee
With brown twill tape ties added.
