  • Framed "Space Patrol" puzzle print featuring spacecraft image

    Object Details

    Summary

This framed print of a jigsaw puzzle shows a piece of memorabilia of "Space Patrol," a children's television program that aired on ABC from 1950 through 1955. The popular show gained adult fans as well -- and generated merchandise that might appeal to children or adults.
The completed image depicted three "Space Patrol" crewmembers, in red uniforms. From left to right, they are Cadet Happy [played by actor Lyn Osborn], Carol Carlisle [played by actress Virginia Hewitt], and Buzz Corry [played by actor Ed Kemmer], and their spaceship Terra IV below. Milton Bradley produced this puzzle.
Collector Michael O'Harro donated the framed puzzle to the Museum in 1993.
