Summary
This G4-C spacesuit was made for and worn by astronaut Gordon Cooper, during the Gemini 5 mission in August, 1965 in which he was the Command Pilot.
The suit is in the EV or Extra-Vehicular configuration, and consisted of five major assemblies, the main torso, helmet, boots gloves and neck seal. Additionally, he wore a constant wear garment and life vest assembly. The suit permitted freedom of movement, and was equipped with communication and bio-medical transmission equipment.
Transferred to the National Air and Space Museum from NASA in 1968.
