Summary

This is an A4-H spacesuit that Hamilton Standard and ILC Industries produced for NASA for training in the Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV) prototypes in 1965. The suit is also known as a "mobility" suit because it allowed the astronaut to sit, unlike previous suit designs. NASA accepted delivery of twelve of these suits for use in the LRV program. This was the last one of this series. The broad, conical shoulder joints in these suits would not fit into the Apollo command module.
NASA Manned Spacecraft Center transferred this pressure suit to the Museum in 1972.
