    Summary

    Visible in the photo on the right is the brick Department of Agricltural building with its mansard roof, the new Department of Agricultural buildings, the Smithsonian Castle, Arts & Industries Building and the Army Medical Museum. In the center are buildings of the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad Station. On the left is the National History Building and behind it Center Market located between Constitution and Pennsylvania Avenues and between 7th and 9th Streets, N.W. Mall landscaping shows winding paths, as conceived by Andrew Jackson Downing (1851).
    Color postcard with a panoramic view of Washington, DC, looking east from the Washington Monument. The US Capitol Building is visible in the distance in the center of the postcard. The front of the postcard has a white border, and the postcard is unused.
