Picture Frame, Lindbergh, King Collection

A double picture frame holding two separate pictures of Lindbergh. The picture on the left shows Lindbergh standing in a jacket in front of the Spirit of St. Louis. The picture on the right is a close up of Lindbergh's face, he has a slight grin. The frame is blue with a small red colored flower protruding from the frame in the top center between the two images. A two legged stand is hinged to the rear of the frame.

On May 20-21, 1927, Charles Lindbergh literally flew into history when he crossed the Atlantic Ocean in his Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis, thus becoming the first pilot to fly solo and nonstop from New York to Paris. This flight made Lindbergh a household name and catapulted him into fame and celebrity.
