    Description

    Photographic postcard of an unidentified World War I soldier with French and American flags. The soldier is wearing full uniform with cap, high-collared jacket, and puttee wrappings about the lower leg. The soldier is standing straight looking at the camera in the center of the photograph. Behind him are the American and French flags with long poles that cross at the center. The backdrop of the photograph has a stairway with a decorative handrail and trees behind. The image is vertical while the postcard is horizontal. The back of the postcard has the words, [CARTE POSTALE] on the top. Underneath are sections for [Correspondance] and [Adresse], followed by four lines for text that begin with [M]. The postcard is blank.
