A silver gelatin print depicting a black-and-white image of a woman participating in the March on Washington, August 28, 1963. The woman is centrally depicted wearing a white blouse, a medium toned side cap, and a ring on a chain around her neck. She is facing the viewer with her eyes partially closed. In the right foreground is a close up of a pair of clapping hands. Behind the woman are several men, a protest sign that reads [WE / MARCH / FOR / JOBS FOR ALL / DECENT PAY / NOW!], and several other partially obscured protest signs.
On the verso of the image are handwritten inscriptions that provide the image date, event information, location, image number, the name of the printer, and the signature of the donor. There are also two (2) stamp marks in black ink in the bottom right corner of the verso.
