Description (Brief)
Color photograph of the original site of the Carlsbad Skatepark, California's first skatepark which opened in March of 1976. It was built by Jack Graham and the donor, John O'Malley and continued to operate until 1979, when it was buried, intact, beneath a layer of dirt for more than two decades. O'Malley retreived this piece from the park when it was demolished in 2005. The photograph includes a visit from the Logan Earthski skateboard team, pictured are: JOhn O'Malley, Torger Johnson, Brian Logan, Kingfish, Bruce Logan, Tony Alva, Brad Logan, and Jack Graham.
