Pennant, Lindbergh, King Collection

A blue triangular pennant with a white cloth strip and two red tassels located at the wider end. The widest portion of the pennant features an image of Lindbergh's head placed inside an oval frame that is surrounded on two sides by American flags. To the right of the image is an image of the Spirit of St. Louis in white along with white lettering "Welcome Home"

On May 20-21, 1927, Charles Lindbergh literally flew into history when he crossed the Atlantic Ocean in his Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis, thus becoming the first pilot to fly solo and nonstop from New York to Paris. This flight made Lindbergh a household name and catapulted him into fame and celebrity.
