Summary
These are unflown drogue and main parachutes from the Gemini program. Manufactured by Pioneer Parachute, they are made mostly of nylon. The main parachute is almost 70 feet in diameter when fully deployed. It may have been used in testing for land landing for Gemini.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration transferred these artifacts to NASM in 1972.
