Description
Landscape sketch showing a view of Overlook Mountain and the Catskill Escarpment partially covered in snow during winter, as viewed from or near the artist's property in Hudson, New York. Trees and brush are visible in the immediate foreground while rolling and heavily wooded terrain extends into and through the middle distance. In the background, the Catskill Escarpment forms a jagged horizon with Overlook Mountain prominently visible at center, covered in snow. Low-lying clodus hover in the sky among golden, sunset light, while the distant sky is dark and foreboding.
