Description
Rectangular red wool felt banner appliquéd with a navy blue arch across the top, on which "Over There" is embroidered in small white stars. Underneath the arch is an embroidered white rectangle with a navy blue five-pointed star in the center. A metal rod with a hook holds the piece at the top. During World War I, banners like this were hung in the window of a home to denote that a family member was serving in the U.S. military.
