    Romare Bearden

    Caption

Romare Bearden (1911-1988) was a draftsman, painter, watercolorist, and most preeminently, a collagist. He was strongly influenced by the works of other artists, including musicians. "Out Chorus" echoes the beats of Harlem's thriving jazz scene, and the music’s improvisational form.
