This is a color photograph of the 1963 March on Washington by James P. Blair with a close up image of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He is shown from the shoulders up wearing a black suit jacket over a white button up shirt and black tie. He appears to be holding several pieces of paper in front of him. His head is tilted slightly to his left and his eyes gaze straight ahead. There are two individuals partially visible behind him. The print is signed by the photographer at the lower left corner and labeled [4 of 9]. A caption by the photographer is printed along the bottom margin.
