Button featuring an image of the New York Mets mascot "Mr. Met."
The mascot for the New York Mets professional baseball team, Mr. Met first appeared in game programs in 1963, one year after the team was founded. A live version of Mr. Met was introduced in 1964, making the mascot the first to appear at games in human form.
