Needles, Lindbergh, King Collection

The front cover of the book features a yellow rectangle with an image of the Spirit of St. Louis with black wings and a yellow body. Above the airplane in red lettering "LUCKY" below the plane in a blue box in white lettering "15 SIZE 3/9" The book is folded twice and the flaps overlap each other. Inside these flaps are needles of various lengths. Each needle has a gold colored head.

On May 20-21, 1927, Charles Lindbergh literally flew into history when he crossed the Atlantic Ocean in his Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis, thus becoming the first pilot to fly solo and nonstop from New York to Paris. This flight made Lindbergh a household name and catapulted him into fame and celebrity.
