Dangerfield, Rodney

Description (Brief)

Red tie worn by comedian, Rodney Dangerfield. A veteran entertainer in the stand-up comic monologuist tradition dating from 19th century music halls and vaudeville, Rodney Dangerfield broke into television in 1967. A mainstay of the "Tonight Show" and imaginative commercial spots for a brewery, Dangerfield played a fast-talking born loser, suffering failure, disgrace and all manner of bad luck. Dangerfield's white shirt and red necktie have been his costume since he appeared on the "Ed Sullivan Show" in 1967.
