Description

This is a convention badge from the National Convention of the National Association of Post Office Mechanics (NAPOM) was worn by Orville P Clark, national president, of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The convention was held in Cincinnati, Ohio, August 25-28, 1941.
The NAPOM was founded in 1937. The union changed its name in 1945 and by 1947 it merged with the National Association of Post Office Custodial Employees to become the National Association of Post Office and General Service Maintenance Employees. On July 1, 1971, this union merged with four others to found the American Postal Workers Union.
