Astronaut
Judith A. Resnik
Summary
Among the items issued to astronauts are Velcro-backed leather name tags that can be attached to their flight suits and jackets. This name tag is a spare for Shuttle astronaut Judith A. Resnik. She flew as a mission specialist on the STS 41-D mission in 1984, and she was a member of the STS 51-L mission crew who died in the 1986 Challenger launch accident before reaching space.
