Summary

Among the items issued to astronauts are velcro-backed leather name tags that can be attached to flight suits. This name tag is a spare for Shuttle astronaut Michael A. Baker, who was the pilot for STS-43 and STS-52 and commander of STS-68 and STS-81.

NASA transferred a number of spare astronaut name tags to the Museum over the years, including this one in 2001.
