From NMNH Exhibit Hall "Eternal Life in Ancient Egypt" label for this artifact, 2011: Mummy bundle in the shape of a cat, 332-30 B.C. Notice how the decorative painting around the eyes makes this mummy look more catlike. Inside are only parts of a cat - a leg and a paw from a six-month-old kitten.
