Object Details

Manufacturer

Estes Industries, Inc.

Summary

This is a retail package of three Estes Industries A3-4T model rocket motors. The "A3-4T" signifies that the power of the motors is in the lowest class (out of seven) established by the National Association of Rocketry. Also included in the package are igniter wires, recovery wadding, and tape retainers. A model rocket normally uses just one motor, and each motor is used only once.
G. Harry Stine, a pioneer in the field of flying rocket models, donated the artifact to NASM in 1973.
