Description
Small, japanned, conical pitcher with an inset, V-shaped spout covered by a rounded, hinged lid connected to the tapered strap handle by a long triangular arm ending in a tiny scroll. Handle is soft-soldered to body at rim and vertical folded seam; flat bottom with folded edge. Later varnish or coating obscures decoration, which features a large, circular red flower below the spout flanked by two smaller buds, all three accented with curved, candy-striped white and alizarin overtones and surrounded by opposing groups of green and yellow leaflets. No marks.
