Description
This metal model was constructed by Richard P. Baker. A mathematics professor at the University of Iowa, Baker believed that models were essential to instruction in many parts of mathematics and physics. Over one hundred of his models are in the NMAH collections.
The model shows the union of five cubes and an icosahedron. The faces of icosahedron are painted white. The faces of the cubes are purple, pink, green, blue, and yellow. A paper tag on the model reads: No. 531 (/) Five cubes and icosahedron.
