Summary
This is a model of unknown scale of the SS-9, a Soviet intercontinental ballistic missile deployed from the mid-1960s until the 1980s. With a range of approximately 7,500 miles, the early versions carried a single nuclear warhead while later versions carried three nuclear warheads. The SS-9 was replaced by the larger, more accurate, and longer-range SS-18. John and Cynthia Heyde donated this model to NASM on an unknown date.
