Summary
This is a model of unknown scale of the Regulus II, a U.S. Navy surface-to-surface missile which was to be carried on and launched from the decks of submarines. It had a nuclear warhead, a solid-fuel engine, one booster for assist in take-off, a range of over 1,000 miles, and an inertial guidance system. Although successfully test fired on several occasions during the late 1950s, the missile was never deployed.
The model's manufacturer is unknown. John and Cynthia Heyde donated it to the museum.
